Tim Brown first picked up the drumsticks at the age of eight, and learned to play through a series of drum tutors as well as through listening to legendary players such as John Bonham, Carl Palmer, Cozy Powell, Roger Taylor and Ian Paice.

Tim played in a number of semi-pro bands in his hometown of Leicester, before turning fully professional in 2001. Since then he has become increasingly in-demand as both a player as well as a tutor and drum clincian.

Tim has played with many respected bands and artists including Don Airey (Deep Purple, Rainbow), Kee Marcello (Europe), Phil Campbell (Motorhead) Aynsley Lister, Vivid, Persian Risk, King King, The Garden, Maybe Grace, The Four Tops, and Nickolodeon.

Tim is also the co-founder of Drumbreaks evenst and peforms drum masterclasses and clinics across the UK. He has also written for the UK's top drumming magazine Rhythm and presented a series of online video drum tutorials.

Tim was introduced to Martin Turner by guitarist Danny Willson, with whom he had worked in various local bands. Playing his first show after just an audition and one full rehearsal, he impressed both the band and audience with his natural feel for the classic Wishbone Ash repertoire.

Tim is an endorsee of Mapex drums and Paiste cymbals and his present kit consists of the following:

Mapex Saturn drums

Paiste cymbals (2002, 602 and Twenty series)

Remo drum heads

Ludwig snare drum

Vic Firth sticks

Protection Racket cases

Kickport and Baskey accessories.

Tim performed and recorded with Martin Turner between 2013 and 2022, appearing on the studio album "Written in the Stars", both as drummer and a co-writer, and also the live CD/DVD "The Beauty of Chaos".
